This is not a claim that freelancers write bad code or that AI cannot build. Good freelancers do all of this; we use AI on every project ourselves. The difference is what is inside the engagement and what is left to whoever you happened to hire. Already built something one of the other two ways? Most studios put a paid discovery phase between you and the first line of code. We would rather you start small, watch how we actually work, and grow the scope once you have a reason to.

Projects start at $200 and dedicated engineers at $800. Those are floors, not what an engagement lands at. Scope, stack, seniority, and how much of an engineer’s week you need set the real number, and we quote it plainly before you commit to anything. The production review stays free either way.
